Last night I asked Labour’s “growth champion” about Labour’s plan for economic growth and whether they believe their increase to National Insurance tax is pro growth or anti-growth.

Having spoken to businesses all over Spelthorne in the last two months, it’s as clear to me as it is to them: this budget will shrink the economy, not grow it.
